Thank you all SO much for your help in choosing the photo for our family Christmas card this year. It was a close call but we do have a winner! The favorite photo was one that I had actually considered an “outtake” in another post but I guess it made you all smile and since Christmas is about spreading joy, I figured we should go with it. Here’s the winner!
Now, as much as I LOVE that photo, we knew that we’d never hear the end of it if this was the only photo on our Christmas card. Why? You ask. Well because our parents (and grandparents) just don’t seem to appreciate artistic photography (haha! Just kidding you guys). Seriously though, we tried to send them what we thought were beautiful photos after our wedding but they didn’t like them. I don’t know why, it’s not like we sent them this one or anything…
Haha! No, we sent this one…
See, we like to have fun, Caleb and I. But you know those darn family members who just love us so much want to actually be able to see our FACES. Can you imagine?? I mean the nerve! Here we are trying to be all cool and send artistic pictures to them and they just want to see US. So weird. 😉
Ok, I’ll stop. I love you guys! I know what someday I’ll be thankful that we have photos where our faces are actually visible! So, taking the wisdom of our former generations to heart, we did include photo FOUR in our card but we also included these ones…
Fun stuff, huh?
I’m really excited about the site that I made the cards with. It’s called “Minted.” Have you heard of them? Great designs and with all of the promotions going on right now, you can get great deals. Speaking of which, if you think you might want to give Minted a try, click this link. You’ll get $25 off of your order of $50 or more and I’ll get $25 towards my next order too!
I love that they have a postcard option. The back of ours also has a special photo. I’ll save that as a surprise for those getting the card. Hehe. If you typically like to send a little blurb on what’s been going on in your family, you can do that on the back of the card instead.
So, without further ado, here it is!
I can’t wait to send these puppies out!! Are you sending cards out? What is your tradition?
