We had sooo much fun last night at Nick & Mindy’s silent auction/dinner fundraiser. I wish I had taken pictures but what can I say? I was in the moment. 😉 There were a lot of awesome auction items and the food was delicious. There was even a DJ to set the mood. It was a blast. One of the highlights of the night for me had to be the cupcakes from Caramel Cup Bakery, Oh. My. Goodness. Salted Caramel Cupcake?! My mind was blown. It was also pretty fun getting into a bidding war with one of my friends. I wanted these pillows so bad! I didn’t take pic but here’s what they looked like:
How cute are those?? I stopped bidding when I realized that they are more for looks than comfort. Still, they are crazy cute and I guess I contributed to earning them more money for the adoption. Hehe.
Our custom monogram succulent wreath ended-up earning a pretty penny so we were pretty excited about that. Now I get to go succulent shopping which is always fun. Ironically, the people who won have a last name that starts with an “M” which is one of the two letters we have done before! That was kind of a relief.
I will say, I was definitely taking notes last night. Caleb and I hope to adopt someday and I’m sure fundraising will be involved for us too. If and when that day comes, I hope to have a similar event. Everyone had such a great time and it was a fun way to bring their community of support together. Now we all feel like we are a part of something bigger than ourselves. I can’t think of anything more beautiful than helping a bring a family together.
